Tjs returned to a misty Slade for this National League 1 clash against newly promoted Bury St Edmunds and, although maximum points were secured, it wasn't until the very end that the result was safe. Will Holling was driven over twice from close-range lineouts inside the first ten minutes to put Tjs 10-0 up, before he was yellow carded - BSE used the extra man to score and close to 10-5. Tjs kept their composure in the 14 minutes he was off, with the pace of a back three featuring Jack Walsh, the returning Curtis Barnes and full-back Nathan Earle creating space out wide; Shadyn Osgood finished off two of those moves to claim his own brace and the try bonus point, with Connor Lloyd converting both for a 24-5 lead.

BSE refused to fold, adding two unconverted tries before half-time to close to 24-15, then came out the stronger side after the break, a fourth bonus-point try bringing them to within four points at 24-20 before they were reduced to 14 men themselves. Tjs settled the contest from there: Nathan Earle collected the ball on the drift to go round a scrambling BSE defence, and Connor Lloyd added a late try of his own plus a penalty to make the final score 41-27.
