Tonbridge Angels' Unbeaten Away Run Ends in 3-1 Defeat at Farnham Town

Tonbridge Angels: Ricky Korboa (15')

Farnham Town: Lavinier (38'), Darryl Sanders (69'), Bobby-Joe Taylor (87')

Tonbridge Angels lost away for the first time this season as sixth-placed Farnham Town came from behind to win 3-1 at The Memorial Ground. Alan Dunne made four changes from the side beaten at home by Salisbury the previous weekend, and it was one of them, Ricky Korboa, who put Angels ahead on 15 minutes, weaving through the Farnham defence before finishing into the top corner. Farnham, dominant for long spells, levelled through a Lavinier header on 38 minutes after Miles Obodo had created the opening, and it finished level at the break despite a fine Nathan Harness save to deny McKenzie.

Dunne replaced Lamar Reynolds with Frankie Baker at half-time, and Angels were briefly down to ten men early in the second half when Bailey Akehurst needed treatment after a heavy challenge before returning to the pitch. Farnham edged back in front on 69 minutes through Darryl Sanders, converting from close range after a far-post header broke to him, and substitute changes from Dunne couldn't prevent Bobby-Joe Taylor sealing it with a left-footed strike on 87 minutes, his effort taking a deflection through a crowded box past a wrong-footed Harness. The result ends Angels' unbeaten run in away league games and drops them to ninth in National League South. Source: Tonbridge Angels FC
