Seven Tries, Seven From Seven: Tonbridge Juddians Rout Rams for Biggest Win of the Season

Tonbridge Juddians 49-19 Rams

National League 1 | The Slade | Saturday, 17th October 2026
Tonbridge Juddians put together their biggest performance of the season, running in seven tries - all converted by Connor Lloyd - to beat a Rams side that had previously been an awkward opponent for the Kent club. It didn't start that way: Rams, the Berkshire visitors, scored first after Tjs lost the ball trying to run it out of their own 22 and spent the opening ten minutes defending. The response was emphatic. Jack Walsh crossed from the restart, Lloyd himself added a try of his own from a Tommy Mannix break, and further scores from Matthew Engelbrecht and a second from Walsh had the hosts out of sight before half-time. Steffan James then chipped the ball 30 metres over the Rams defence and gathered his own kick off a kind bounce to make it 35-14 at the break.
Engelbrecht added his second early in the second half to make it 42-14, and although Rams - down to 14 men for a spell - had chances held up over the Tjs line, they couldn't convert pressure into points. Vinnie Everitt, back on after a yellow card of his own, powered over for Tjs' seventh try late on. The result is Tonbridge Juddians' seventh straight league win from seven games this season, and leaves them level on points with leaders Plymouth Albion at the top of National League 1 - though second on the table on points difference.
