Bearsted were beaten 1-4 at home by Chislehurst Glebe in a lively Southern Counties East League Premier Division fixture at Otham Sports Ground.
The visitors made a dream start, taking the lead just two minutes in when Nathan Mampono struck early to stun the home side and set the tone for the afternoon. Bearsted worked hard to recover and showed resilience, but Glebe continued to look sharp going forward.
Just before the break, Yanick Kissi doubled the advantage in the 44th minute, giving the visitors a firm grip on the match heading into half-time.
Bearsted came out with renewed intent after the interval and were rewarded almost immediately when Jake Embery pulled a goal back in the 46th minute, raising hopes of a comeback among the home supporters.
However, those hopes were quickly checked as Ryan Kelly restored Chislehurst Glebe’s two-goal cushion on 59 minutes, finishing a strong attacking move to reassert control. Bearsted continued to compete, but Glebe’s experience and composure showed as the game wore on.
Deep into stoppage time, Jamie Philpot added a fourth goal to cap a convincing away performance, sealing all three points for the visitors in front of an attendance of 100.
The result underlined Chislehurst Glebe’s attacking threat and efficiency, while Bearsted will look to take encouragement from their second-half response as they regroup for upcoming fixtures.
