Twelve Fixtures, Four Boroughs: West Kent's Football and Rugby Weekend

Twelve fixtures across football and rugby this Saturday, spread across all four West Kent boroughs - headlined by league leaders Maidstone United away at Torquay United, an all-West-Kent SCEFL Premier Division derby between Bearsted and Tunbridge Wells, and two unbeaten rugby sides, Sevenoaks RFC and East Peckham & Paddock Wood, both out to defend perfect records. Below, sport by sport: the fixtures, where and when they kick off, and each team's current form.
Football: Maidstone top the table, Angels in form at Chelmsford
National League South fixtures
Torquay United v Maidstone United — Plainmoor, Sat 3pm
Chelmsford City v Tonbridge Angels — Salerno Way, Sat 3pm
Form (last 5 league games, oldest to newest):
Maidstone United: ✓✗✗✓✓
Tonbridge Angels: ✗−✗✓✓
Maidstone United, top of National League South on 25 points from 12 games, travel to 13th-placed Torquay United - winners of two of their last five - looking to make it three league wins on the spin after two defeats earlier this month. Tonbridge Angels, sixth and unbeaten in their last two league games, go to Chelmsford City, who sit 15th but are themselves unbeaten in ten league games - all but two of them draws, making them one of the division's hardest sides to actually beat. Both games kick off at 3pm.

SCEFL Premier Division: an all-West-Kent derby at Bearsted
Southern Counties East League Premier Division fixtures
Bearsted v Tunbridge Wells — home, Sat 3pm
AFC Greenwich Borough v Rusthall — away, Sat 3pm
Petts Wood & Holmesdale v Snodland Town — away, Sat 3pm
Larkfield & New Hythe v Chislehurst Glebe — home, Sat 3pm

Bearsted: ✗✓−✗✓
Tunbridge Wells: ✗✓−✗✗
Rusthall: ✓✗✓✗✓
Snodland Town: −−−✗−
Larkfield & New Hythe: −−−✗✓
The pick of this weekend's SCEFL fixtures is an all-West-Kent derby: fifth-placed Bearsted host bottom-half neighbours Tunbridge Wells, a week after the two met in the Kent Senior Trophy First Round - Tunbridge Wells lost on penalties to Kennington, while Bearsted themselves were knocked out by lower-division Staplehurst Monarchs. Elsewhere, seventh-placed Rusthall travel to 10th-placed AFC Greenwich Borough, ninth-placed Snodland Town go to 14th-placed Petts Wood & Holmesdale, and 13th-placed Larkfield & New Hythe host 11th-placed Chislehurst Glebe. None of last weekend's cup results affected the league table, since all four clubs were in Kent Senior Trophy action rather than league fixtures, so every side returns exactly where it left off.

Who's not playing: Sevenoaks Town and Tonbridge Juddians both have the weekend off
Two of West Kent's regular fixtures are missing from this Saturday's list. Sevenoaks Town, who beat AFC Croydon Athletic 2-1 in midweek to go seventh in the Isthmian League South East Division, have no league game this weekend - their next match is away at Horley Town on 31 October. Tonbridge Juddians, level on points with leaders Plymouth Albion at the top of National League 1 after seven straight wins including a 49-19 rout of Rams, also have a bye before travelling to Birmingham Moseley on 31 October.
Results to follow
We'll report on how each of the fixtures above goes as results come in over the weekend.
