Ebbsfleet United: Camron Gbadebo (10'), Daniel Ogunleye (67'), Harvey Walker (90+3')
Maidstone United have been knocked off top spot in National League South after a first-versus-second clash under the Gallagher Stadium lights went the way of Ebbsfleet United. Craig Fagan's leaders went behind early, pulled one back late on, then conceded again deep into stoppage time to leave with nothing.
Fagan made two changes from the side that had drawn at Torquay United at the weekend, bringing in Leo Hamblin and Nana Boateng. It was Ebbsfleet who struck first, on 10 minutes, when Ben Chapman's shot was only parried by Lenny Holden and Camron Gbadebo reacted quickest to prod home the rebound. Maidstone had chances either side of that - Riley Court curling a free-kick narrowly wide inside four minutes, then going close twice more either side of half-time, including a looping header from George Fowler that Ebbsfleet keeper Will Buse tipped onto his own bar.
Ebbsfleet doubled their lead on 67 minutes, Daniel Ogunleye drilling a finish past Holden from a tight angle on the right of the box. Substitute Jayden Davis gave Maidstone hope with seven minutes left, thumping a finish past Buse from the edge of the area - but the Stones' response was short-lived. A minute into stoppage time Ebbsfleet brought on Harvey Walker, who broke clear from a Maidstone corner two minutes later and fired past Holden to settle it.
