Sevenoaks Town Out of Kent Senior Cup After Late Rally Falls Short Against Sheppey

Sevenoaks Town: Noah Carney (88')

Sheppey United: Oghosa Williams (31', 37')

Sevenoaks Town are out of the Kent Senior Cup after a 1-2 home defeat to Sheppey United, who led twice over through a rapid first-half double from new striker Oghosa Williams. Williams opened the scoring in the 31st minute, finishing cleanly after Ben Clark carved out a run and squared the ball across the box, then doubled Sheppey's lead six minutes later with a 25-yard lob over goalkeeper Jordan Perrin, set up by Simon Kabamba.

Sevenoaks pushed for a way back after the break, rattling the crossbar before half-time and testing the Sheppey defence with a spell of second-half corners, but couldn't find a way through until Noah Carney pulled a goal back in the 88th minute - too late to force extra time. The result sends Sheppey United into the Kent Senior Cup quarter-finals and ends Sevenoaks' run in the competition. Source: Isthmian League
