Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom Wins Gold, With the Commons and Five Other Green Spaces Also Honoured

Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom has come away from this year's South & South East in Bloom Awards with a clean sweep: Gold for the town overall, and awards for six of its parks and green spaces individually.

Gold for the town, and the Commons

Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom was awarded Gold and won the Small City category at the regional RHS competition. Tunbridge Wells Commons also won Gold and took the Commons category outright, while Grosvenor & Hilbert Park repeated its earlier-announced win in the Large Park category.

Golds and a Silver Gilt across the town's parks

Four more sites picked up Gold awards: Dunorlan Park, Calverley Grounds, Woodbury Park Cemetery, and Tunbridge Wells Cemetery & Crematorium. Barnetts Wood Nature Reserve was awarded Silver Gilt.

Thanks to volunteers and contractors

The council credited the results to contractor Tivoli, FCC Environment, the Kent High Weald Partnership, DS Restoration, Treework, its own Street Scene team, Tunbridge Wells Together, the crematorium office, its Economic Development team and The Amelia Scott, alongside "the volunteers, Friends groups, businesses, schools and residents who help make our town such a special place."
