Sevenoaks Town shared the points in an entertaining 2–2 draw with Faversham Town, in front of 282 fans at The Bourne Stadium.

Fast start from visitors

The game barely had time to settle before Faversham struck. An early goal inside the opening minutes put Sevenoaks on the back foot and forced them to chase the game almost immediately.
Despite that, the home side didn’t lose their shape. They grew into the match, started to keep the ball better, and looked more composed as the first half went on.

Sevenoaks turn it around

The second half brought a much stronger response. Sevenoaks found another gear going forward and were rewarded with two goals in quick succession.
The first brought them level, and not long after they took the lead - a proper momentum shift that had the home crowd thinking all three points were there for the taking.
At that stage, Sevenoaks looked the more dangerous side, moving the ball with confidence and creating pressure in the final third.

Late twist denies the win

But Faversham weren’t done. With time running out, they found a way back into the game, scoring late to make it 2–2 and silence the home support.
It was a frustrating moment for Sevenoaks, who had done the hard work to turn things around but couldn’t quite see it through.

Overall

For Sevenoaks Town, it’s a mixed feeling. There were clear positives in how they responded and took control after going behind, but conceding late means it’s two points dropped rather than one gained.
Still, performances like this - especially the reaction after the early setback - show a team that’s competitive and hard to break down.
