Christmas Donation Hub Returns to The Mall Maidstone
The Mall Maidstone's annual Christmas Donation Hub returns this year, running from Saturday 28 November to Saturday 12 December and collecting gifts and food for people and families across the borough who need it most.
What's being collected
The Hub is asking for new children's toys, festive gifts, Christmas decorations and non-perishable food - used or second-hand items can't be accepted. It's located near the food court on the middle level of The Mall, staffed throughout by volunteers, and open Monday to Friday 10am-2pm and Saturday 10am-4pm (closed Sundays).
Who it helps
Donations go to ten local charities and organisations: Age UK Maidstone, Blackthorn Trust, Fusion Healthy Living Centre, Street Pastors, Making a Difference to Maidstone (MADM), Maidstone Community Support Centre, Mid Kent Mind, The Princess Project, Trinity Community Centre and Wishing Hearts.
The Hub officially opens on Monday 30 November at 11am, when Deputy Mayor of Maidstone Cllr Dennis Spooner will mark the start of this year's appeal. Source: Maidstone Borough Council
