£3m Padel Club Opens at Larkfield, With Three More Kent Sites Still to Come

A new £3 million padel club has opened at Larkfield, near Aylesford, with seven of a planned ten indoor courts now ready for play - the first phase of what the operator calls its biggest site yet.

Part of a bigger Kent push

Square One Padel, based at Unit 3, Bellingham Way, Aylesford, is one of six Square One clubs either open or planned across Kent - alongside existing sites in Ashford and Sittingbourne, and three more coming soon in Canterbury, New Romney and Hythe. The Larkfield club is the only one of the six in West Kent, and the company is marketing it as its largest.

Seven courts now, a full social club later

Alongside the seven courts already open, the venue currently has changing rooms, a cafe and bar, darts and table tennis. Square One says it will add the remaining three courts later this year, along with a weightlifting, cardio and HYROX gym, a TrackMan golf simulator, reformer and mat Pilates, saunas and ice baths, a restaurant and bar, a members' lounge, a physio and a pro shop - building toward the full leisure-and-social-club format the brand is known for at its other sites.

"A huge moment for us"

Sam De Haan, founder of Square One Padel, said: "Seeing the Maidstone club open and people enjoying it is a huge moment for us. This will be our biggest Square One yet and we are putting so much into creating somewhere that offers far more than padel. We wanted somewhere you could come for a game, have a proper workout, recover, grab some food, meet friends or even get some work done. The idea has always been to create a place people genuinely want to spend time in, and we're incredibly excited to finally welcome everyone through the doors." Courts are bookable now via the Playtomic app. Source: Square One Padel
