Barrington Hat-Trick Fires Sevenoaks Town to 5-0 Win Over Eastbourne

Sevenoaks Town: Courtney Barrington (3') Courtney Barrington (9') Courtney Barrington (45+1') Nathan Jeche (48') Nathan Jeche (68')

Sevenoaks Town have now won two league games in a row, and this one was never close. Courtney Barrington scored a hat-trick and Nathan Jeche added two more in a 5-0 win over Eastbourne Town at Bourne Stadium on Wednesday night.

Barrington had the hosts two up inside nine minutes, scoring on three and again on nine, and completed his hat-trick in first-half stoppage time. Jeche then took over after the break, scoring on 48 minutes and again on 68 to make it five. Eastbourne never found a way back in, and finished with ten men after substitute Johnny Walker was shown a red card on 86 minutes.

It is a sharp turnaround for a side that took just three points from its first five league games. Sevenoaks beat Margate 2-1 last Saturday for their first league win of the season, with Jeche scoring both goals that day too, so he now has four in two league games. The margin also matters in the table: the win swung Sevenoaks' goal difference from minus four to plus one, and moved them up to tenth on nine points from seven games, from 15th after the Margate win.
