Larkfield & New Hythe Top Early SCEFL Table as Rusthall Snatch Late Win

Larkfield & New Hythe: Daniel Gebor (1') Kieron McCann (16') Augusto Chiari (85')

Tunbridge Wells: Tom Penfold

Larkfield & New Hythe made the biggest early statement of the West Kent weekend, beating fellow SCEFL side Tunbridge Wells 3-1 to sit top of the Premier Division table after the opening round of fixtures. Daniel Gebor gave them the perfect start inside the first minute, Kieron McCann doubled the lead on 16, and although Tom Penfold pulled one back for Wells, Augusto Chiari's goal five minutes from time settled it and kept Larkfield's winning start intact.

Rusthall: Jack Kirby (9') Lekan Osideko (90+7')

Fisher: Euan Mutale

Rusthall's afternoon went to the wire. Jack Kirby put the Rustics ahead after nine minutes, only for Fisher's Euan Mutale to level midway through the first half, and the game looked to be heading for a draw until Lekan Osideko struck in the seventh minute of stoppage time to snatch a dramatic 2-1 win - Rusthall's first three points of the new season, and about as late as a winner can arrive.

Chislehurst Glebe: Brandon Barrance (first half) Ryan Kelly (second half)

It was a tougher day for Snodland Town, beaten 2-0 away at Chislehurst Glebe. Brandon Barrance opened the scoring shortly before half-time and Ryan Kelly added a second seven minutes into the second half, leaving Snodland still searching for their first league points of the campaign.

Bearsted: Dieko Falade (hat-trick) Matt Day (injury time)

In the FA Vase First Round Qualifying, Bearsted made the early running count. Dieko Falade scored a hat-trick as Bearsted came from behind to beat Redhill 4-1, with Matt Day adding a fourth in injury time to complete a comfortable-looking scoreline from what had been a competitive game. It sends Bearsted through to the next qualifying round, while Rusthall and Larkfield & New Hythe - not involved in this weekend's Vase ties - continue to focus on their Premier Division campaigns for now.
