The White Company Opens New Store on Sevenoaks High Street

The White Company has opened its doors on Sevenoaks High Street, taking a unit at 112 High Street in the heart of the town centre. It's a first standalone shop for the brand in Sevenoaks itself - until now, the nearest options for local shoppers were the Tunbridge Wells branch on the High Street or a trip to Bluewater.

A very fresh arrival

This is a genuinely new opening rather than a shop that's been quietly trading for a while. "Sevenoaks, we're officially here," The White Company posted on its Facebook page around 12 September, alongside photos of the new shopfront and its opening displays. "Our doors are open and we can't wait to welcome you in." The address is already live on the company's own store finder, complete with a Sevenoaks phone number, but as of publication it still doesn't appear anywhere on Google Maps - no listing, no reviews - underlining just how recent the arrival is.

What the brand brings to the High Street

The White Company built its name on bedding, candles, loungewear and homeware in its signature muted palette, alongside a clothing and gifting range that leans towards the same understated, neutral style. It's a step up-market from a discount or fast-fashion chain, and its arrival fits a pattern seen elsewhere on the High Street recently: specialist and lifestyle retailers taking units that might once have gone to a more budget-focused occupier.
For Sevenoaks, a well-known national name choosing to open here rather than simply serve the town from Tunbridge Wells or Bluewater is a reasonable vote of confidence in the High Street's pulling power. Whether it settles in for the long term will, as ever, come down to footfall in the months ahead.
