Sevenoaks Town 2-2 Faversham Town
Isthmian League South East Division | Bourne Stadium, Greatness Park | Saturday 15th August 2026 | Attendance: 186
Sevenoaks Town: Noah Carney (23') Courtney Barrington (45')
Faversham Town: Lex Allan (16') Jack Evans (45+2')
Sevenoaks Town's league season is up and running after a 2-2 draw with Faversham Town at Bourne Stadium, Greatness Park, on Saturday - a result that felt more dramatic than a share of the spoils usually suggests, given every goal in the game arrived in a single frantic spell either side of half-time.
Faversham struck first through Lex Allan on 16 minutes, before Noah Carney levelled for the hosts on 23. Courtney Barrington then put Sevenoaks ahead right on the stroke of half-time, only for Faversham's Jack Evans to snatch an immediate equaliser in first-half stoppage time. Neither side could find a way through in a second half that produced six substitutions between them but no further goals.
It was a feisty afternoon by the book as much as the scoreline: Jed Borders was booked early for Sevenoaks, Faversham's Jack Steventon followed just before the half-hour, and Carney - already on the scoresheet - picked up a second-half yellow of his own. A crowd of 186 saw it out at Bourne Stadium, the ground at the centre of the club's long-running Greatness pavilion redevelopment plans.
A point from the opening league fixture leaves Sevenoaks with something to build on, particularly coming off the back of a 4-2 FA Cup win over Corinthian Casuals the previous weekend.
