Otford's Sally's Cake Emporium Now Taking Orders Online, Too

Sally's Cake Emporium, the bakery at 28A High Street in Otford, is still open as usual seven days a week - and has now launched online ordering, so customers further afield can get hold of its cakes, cookies and brownies too.

Sally is self-taught, having learned to bake from YouTube videos. She started baking for her children and later her grandchildren, and sharing cakes with friends and family gave her the confidence to open "a proper local cake shop right here in our community." Sally's Cake Emporium opened its doors in Otford in 2018, making everything from scratch using real butter, local free-range eggs, Belgian chocolate and seasonal fruit.

In a message on the shop's website, Sally says the shop's landlord is in the process of selling the building it rents, which has left its long-term future there open for now. Rather than wait and see, she's treating it as a chance to grow: "I have taken this as the perfect opportunity to kickstart our most exciting chapter yet, online orders! It's our chance to finally share my delicious bakes with a wider audience all across the country." For now, nothing changes for regulars - the shop carries on trading as normal.

The shop's current range includes cookies (Biscoff, Chocolate Chunk and Cookie Dough), a Cookie Dough Pie, brownies, muffins, drizzle cakes and a Free From range, alongside a changing "Find Your Treat" selection and a Mystery Box. The shop is open 9am to 4pm, seven days a week.
