National League South | Meadowbank Stadium | Saturday 22nd August 2026
Dorking Wanderers: George Nikaj (24') Josh Barratt (86')
Maidstone United: Tom Leahy (36') Ken Charles (53') Riley Court (76')
Maidstone United made it back-to-back wins with a battling 3-2 comeback victory at Dorking Wanderers, coming through a nervy finish to move further clear of their opening-day defeat to Farnborough. It's exactly the kind of resilient away performance Craig Fagan will want to see as the Stones build momentum.
Dorking led first when George Nikaj finished from close range after George Fowler's initial effort was only parried, but Maidstone were level by the 36th minute through Tom Leahy, whose shot took a deflection off the underside of the bar on its way in. The turnaround was completed early in the second half when Ken Charles produced what was described as an emphatic finish after being slipped through by Leahy.
Riley Court then put daylight between the sides with a goal from his own half of the pitch, driving forward on a long solo run before rounding the goalkeeper to finish. Dorking weren't finished, though - Josh Barratt's goal with four minutes left set up a tense finish, and Maidstone had to survive a scare deep into a five-minute stoppage time before seeing the game out.
