Have Your Say: Kent County Council Consults on Moving Maidstone's Family Hub Services

Kent County Council is consulting on plans to relocate InfoZone Family Hub services away from their current home at 3 Palace Avenue in Maidstone town centre, spreading them instead across a wider network of local Family Hubs - including reopening the former East Borough Children's Centre.

What's being proposed

InfoZone currently delivers parent and toddler groups, youth activities and family support from its Palace Avenue site. Under the proposals, those services would move into a strengthened network of Family Hubs spread across Maidstone, bringing support closer to where families actually live rather than concentrated in one town-centre building - with the former East Borough Children's Centre earmarked to reopen as part of that wider network.
The council is inviting residents, parents and carers to give their views on the changes through its Let's Talk Kent consultation platform. The consultation closes on 30 November 2026. Anyone with questions can contact the Maidstone Family Hub team on 03000 419 470 or maidstonefh@kent.gov.uk. Source: Kent County Council, Let's Talk Kent
