Tunbridge Wells Outsourcing Firm Shortlisted for Business Awards 2026

Get Ahead Kent & Sussex, a Tunbridge Wells firm that connects small businesses and charities with outsourced specialists in HR, marketing and admin, has been named a finalist in the Micro Business category of the Tunbridge Wells Business Awards 2026 - one of ten finalists in that category, confirmed on the awards' own website alongside shortlists for Five. Architects, iBeautify, Rosie Baylis Hair and others.

What the business does

Hazel Hall founded Get Ahead Kent & Sussex in 2024, after 18 years in leadership roles at a manufacturing and engineering firm and a spell working in the charity sector, where she saw small organisations struggling to afford the specialist skills they needed. Her business connects SMEs and charities across Kent and Sussex with experienced freelance professionals - covering everything from bookkeeping and social media to telephone answering and translation - on an hourly, project or ongoing basis, without the cost of hiring permanent staff.

Beyond the core business

This year Hall also launched Get Connected, a free networking initiative for local businesses that started in Tunbridge Wells before expanding to Maidstone and Orpington; organisers say it has drawn more than 500 attendees across 24 events so far. “I am so pleased to have been shortlisted for the Tunbridge Wells Business Awards,” Hall said. “Thank you to the TN Awards Company, the judges and sponsors, and well done to all the other finalists.”
Winners across all categories will be announced at a black-tie evening at the Assembly Hall Theatre on 10 November. Source: TN Business Awards, Tunbridge Wells finalists
