Tonbridge Angels Win 4-0 at Farnborough to Climb to Third

Farnborough 0-4 Tonbridge Angels

National League South | Saunders Transport Community Stadium | Saturday, 5th September 2026 | Attendance: 385
Tonbridge Angels: Ethan Sutcliffe (26'), Ricky Korboa (68'), Frankie Baker (84'), Lucas Thomas own goal (45')
Tonbridge Angels produced their most complete away performance of the season, winning 4-0 at Farnborough with two goals in each half and a clean sheet. The result lifts Alan Dunne's side to third in National League South. Dunne named an unchanged team from the one that beat Walton & Hersham 5-1 on Bank Holiday Monday.
Angels pressed from the first minute, Jephte Tanga and Lamar Reynolds both threatening before the opening goal on 26 minutes: Bailey Akehurst's long throw was flicked on at the near post for Ethan Sutcliffe to loop a header back across goal and in. On the stroke of half-time it was two - Akehurst's inswinging left-foot corner, a day after he scored direct from one against Walton & Hersham, dropped awkwardly enough that Farnborough goalkeeper Lucas Thomas could only punch it into his own net.
Farnborough pushed harder after the break but created little. On 63 minutes Angels were furious that Ollie Robinson stayed on the pitch after hauling down Frankie Baker as he ran through on goal, and Dunne was booked for his protests. The visitors settled it regardless: substitute Alfie Pavey released Ricky Korboa into space on 68 minutes and Korboa drove a rising shot into the roof of the net, before Baker rounded off the win on 84, drawing the goalkeeper and finishing after another Farnborough defensive mix-up.
Dunne told the club afterwards that his side were "good value" and had "controlled the game really well", and that he was "particularly pleased with the clean sheet". The win leaves Tonbridge third, two places behind Maidstone United - who they host on Tuesday. Source: tonbridgeangels.co.uk
