Bradbourne Lakes to host free family summer festival this weekend

If you're looking for a free family day out in West Kent this weekend, Bradbourne Lakes Park in Sevenoaks will be hosting its annual Summer Festival on Saturday 11 July.
The afternoon event is designed to celebrate both the park and the ongoing Bradbourne Re-bourne restoration project, with a mix of outdoor activities, local history and community organisations taking part.
Children will have plenty to keep them entertained, including hands-on nature activities, inflatables, games and live entertainment. There will also be a special model raft building session for younger visitors, although places for this activity need to be booked in advance.
For adults, local historian Jonathan Fenner will be leading guided walks exploring the history of the Bradbourne Lakes area, offering a chance to learn more about one of Sevenoaks' best-known green spaces. These sessions also require advance booking.
Visitors can browse information stands from local charities and environmental groups throughout the afternoon, while food and drink will be available to purchase from a selection of independent vendors.
The event runs from 12:30pm until 4:30pm at Bradbourne Lakes Park on Betenson Avenue, Sevenoaks, and entry is completely free.
Whether you're planning a family outing, fancy a picnic by the lakes or simply want to enjoy a few hours outdoors, it looks set to be a relaxed way to spend a summer Saturday.
