Appeal After Gang of Five Break Into East Peckham Business, Steal 100 Specialist Tools

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a break-in at a business on the Branbridges Industrial Estate in East Peckham, where a gang of five made off with more than 100 specialist tools and over £5,000 worth of brass.

The break-in happened between 3.08am and 3.20am on Tuesday 29 September. Police say a group of five white men made a hole through a brick wall to get inside, then stole around 100 BT40 spindle tools - used in machines that mill and drill - along with the brass and some other items. It's the same industrial estate this site has featured before for its riverside café and paddleboard hire; Kent Police hasn't named the business that was targeted.

Four of the suspects are believed to have left in a dark-coloured Volkswagen, thought to be a Polo or Golf, displaying Irish number plates. The fifth drove off in a white Citroen Dispatch van, which collided with a pole on the way out - Kent Police say it's likely to have damage to its front number plate as a result.
